Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics (SIGraDi) brings together architects, designers, communicators and artists associated with new media and is the counterpart of similar organizations in Europe (eCAADe), North America (ACADIA) and Asia / Oceania (CAADRIA). Make an Annual Congress, which discusses the latest applications and possibilities of graphics technology, with the participation of international specialists. SIGraDi congresses have taken place since 1997 years when it was founded and held in Buenos Aires, 1998 in Mar del Plata, 1999 in Montevideo, 2000 in Rio de Janeiro, 2001 in Concepcion, 2002 in Caracas, 2003 in Rosario, 2004 in Sao Leopoldo, the 2005 in Lima, Peru organized by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), and in 2006 in Santiago de Chile, organized by the FAU, University of Chile.
SIGraDi The Eleventh Congress will be October 23, 24 and 25, 2007 in Mexico City, Mexico. It is being organized by the Universidad La Salle, through the Mexican School of Architecture, Design and Communication, EMADyC. We believe that Mexico, through the EMADyC, represents a platform SIGraDi ideal to allow your project to expand to other disciplines from the three academic programs that integrate school, and the opportunity to have a relationship with space agencies in the management recognition of digital graphics. Mexico City offers an array of cultural attractions can be enjoyed at various venues, both museum and scenic, and that is why we need to come and live and enjoy discovering all that it brings.
The conceptual topic of the conference "The Visual Communication in Society" promotes the idea that a simple model of communication, we speak of an understanding among participants. This is the result of a continuous connection and dialogue of agreements and disagreements to get to share an idea. However, society is evolving within a fast-paced, it gets in this process. This is where social forces are stretched and generate significant breaks between generations and individuals struggling to obtain or to impose new languages \u200b\u200band lifestyles.
Today's society has become a visual society, whose effect has been enhanced through technology in the devices we use every day. The daily use of new technologies and languages, has made a disconnect between individuals, which should be closed from a new acculturation and teaching models. Communication and research to achieve reconnection, and the creation of new forms of visual production and understanding are the subject focused its work in this issue.
The papers presented can adhere to this topic or others that mean contributions to the field of knowledge of digital media, taking into account categories: 1 - Completed Jobs, 2 - Work in development 3 - graphic or visual work (posters); Fields: Design, Architecture, Communication, Art, Film, etc., and Approaches: Applications professional academic experiences, scientific research, theory, epistemology, philosophy project, design, communication, environment, conservation, sustainability, technology, tools, media, etc..
To participate in the conference with jobs are invited to submit abstracts by May 10, 2007. Abstracts must be written in English, Portuguese and / or English. The header should include: title, keywords (up to 5), author, institution to which affiliation (if applicable), country of origin, and email response. Also category (1.2 or 3), reference area and approach. Abstracts will be reviewed and evaluated anonymously by a committee international scientific thematic relevance, originality, rationale, development and clarity of exposition. Confirmation of acceptance will be announced before July 7, 2007. All communication will be done electronically (web or email).
